Gustav Glaser starts a manufacturer's representative business and locates himself on Park Place in New York City.   He imports home furnishing and food preparation products.   Most products come from Arndt Brothers, Germany and he displays in his "Wareroom" of products.

WWI ends.  Scarcity of products, led Gustav to found his own factory making products for the baking and confectionary industries.  He opened a factory at 53 Greene Street in Manhattan.  Products included baking carts, tubs, tanks and pails for the food industries.

1923 - Wooster St. Factory

1940s - West 30th St. Factory

Needing a larger factory, they signed a long term lease for 70-72 Wooster Street right before the Great Depression.  They continued making bakery and confectionary products and custom fabrication.

A new factory was leased near the Rail Yards.  544 West 30th Street was required for WWII production.   They made "For any equipment, no matter how trivial, that enables men to build more quickly - to handle parts with more speed or more ease is important to our great "push".

Gustav Glaser Co. Inc. moved to Paterson NJ and provided fabrication services for the textile, chemical, pharmaceutical and aeronautical industries.  Walter Trommler grew the company.

They continued as a custom fabrication and machine shop and worked on making parts for projects like the US Air Force's Wright Aviation R-3350 engine.

1965 to 2020

2020 - 100th Year Anniversary

Walter Trommler added a UV product line in 1965.  The "GUS".   A product kept the shop busy between custom jobs and the UV product line developed and grew.  They operated under Glasco UV Systems and Ultra Dynamics Corporation (UDC), sales subsidiaries for Gustav Glaser Co,    


In 1999, Jim Donnellan sold Glasco Ultraviolet Systems and Ultra Dynamics Corporation to Capital Control / Severn Trent.   Jim's sons, started Donnellan UV fka Sunlight Systems.  This group has operated under the Siemens UV, Germicidal Systems.

To consolidate, these are now under the UVSYSCO brand. Walter's grand and great grandchildren operate this UV company.


Beth Donnellan, CEO, Hunter College NY - Masters in Education  - continues the tradition and is  building the UVSYSCO brand and developing an educational program to help environmental and community leaders better understand the benefits of disinfecting wastewater with UV light.


Product lines are provided under contracts with the original equipment manufacturers and offer NSF, ETV, USEPA, Title 22 and other validated systems from the Sunlight/Siemens catalog.
